FAQ
The questions we hear most, answered plainly. If yours isn't here, just ask, a real person will get back to you.
Every person you meet has cleared our two gates. The last two are yours.

How hiring worksHow fast can you match someone?
It depends on the role, but most briefs get a first candidate in days, not weeks. The search starts the moment your brief lands, and the vetting pipeline behind it is already built and running.
Do I have to commit before I see anyone?
No. Briefing us is a conversation, not a contract. You run the final interview and you make the call. Cost attaches to a placement, not to a chat.
What's the difference between Flex and FlexDirect?
Same roster, same vetting, one choice: who employs them at the end. On Flex, the managed model, we place the person and employ them ourselves, with contract, payroll, and support on us, for one flat monthly invoice. On FlexDirect, we recruit and vet the same way, you hire them directly onto your own team, and we charge a one-time placement fee.
See both models pricedWhat does it cost?
On the managed model, you tell us what the seat is worth to you. That number is your invoice: one flat amount per month, in US dollars, with no percentage stacked on top and no line items you didn't agree to. On FlexDirect, there's no monthly invoice at all, just a one-time placement fee when you hire.
The full pricing modelWho employs them, you or me?
That's the choice between the two models. On Flex, we do: the person is employed by Flex here in the Philippines, your agreement is with Flex, and you direct their work day to day. On FlexDirect, you do: we recruit and vet, and the hire joins your team as your employee.
What if the match doesn't work out?
On the managed model, we replace them from the vetted pool at no cost: no time limit, no fee. Because you ran the final interview yourself, a bad match is rare; when it happens, you're never locked to a hire you didn't choose. FlexDirect hires carry a 90-day safeguard.
What if they get sick, go quiet, or leave?
Tell us early; that's what the ongoing relationship is for. A departure is handled the same way a bad match is: we replace from the vetted pool at no cost. You're never left managing a gap alone, and you're never restarting the search from zero.
What hours can they cover?
You name the hours in your brief, and we only shortlist people who already work them, whatever your timezone. Overnight and weekend coverage is the norm here, not the exception.
How do I pay, and in what currency?
One invoice a month, in US dollars. One amount, one line, the same figure you set, so it reconciles in seconds and there's nothing to decode. FlexDirect is simpler still: a single one-time invoice for the placement fee.
Can I hire part-time, or only full-time?
Both. Flex places full-time embedded seats and part-time seats. We don't take project-based staffing; that's a different business, and pretending otherwise would serve nobody. If what you actually need built is a web platform, that's Flexperts, our build studio.
Which countries do you work with?
Teams in the United States, Canada, Australia and Singapore, plus companies here in the Philippines. We work with teams elsewhere too, so if that's you, just ask.
Is Flex a job board?
No. A job board hands you strangers and wishes you luck. Flex does the matching, the vetting, and the follow-through. That's the whole point of a broker.
Who owns the IP and the code?
You do. The work your Flex professional produces for you is yours, as set out in the service agreement. The same goes for Flexperts builds: once the build is fully paid, the platform we delivered belongs to you. Flex keeps nothing, unless you explicitly ask us to keep hosting it for you.
Will you sign an NDA? How is my data handled?
Yes, we sign NDAs. If you have your own, send it with your brief; if not, we'll put one in place for the engagement. Data handling follows our Privacy Policy under the Philippine Data Privacy Act, and what you share stays inside the engagement.
Read the privacy policyWhat's the contract like? Any notice period, minimum term, or lock-in?
No lock-in and no minimum term. Managed engagements run monthly and end with notice; FlexDirect is a one-time placement fee with a 90-day safeguard on the hire. The full terms live in the signed agreement for your engagement.
The path from application to roster.
The Application · The Screening · The Interview · The Decision
How joining worksDoes it cost anything to join the roster?
No. Applying is free and being on the roster is free. We earn from successful matches, never from the people doing the work.
How does matching work?
You apply once with your lane and what you want. When a client brief fits your profile, we bring you in: no bidding wars, no cold applications, no racing anyone to the bottom on price.
Am I employed by Flex, or by the client?
By Flex. You're our employee here in the Philippines, not the client's, and not a freelancer chasing invoices. You work with their team; your employment sits with us.
What hours will I work?
The client's hours, and you know them before you say yes; they're in the brief, and we only put you forward for work you already keep. Plenty of roles are overnight; none of them are a surprise.
What happens if a placement ends?
You go back on the roster, not out the door. Clearing the gates is the hard part and you've already done it; the next brief that fits comes to you.
What does Flex handle for me?
The client relationship, contracts, scope, and follow-up. You focus on the craft; we carry the parts you shouldn't have to.
