DALUYONG

The sea kept every promise. The village didn't.

01 EXT. BARRIO SAN NICOLAS — DUSK

Two fishers paddling on a calm sea under a red sunset

The village has fished the same water for nine generations. Tonight the nets come up full — fuller than they should. Old Mang Teban says nothing, and pushes his share back off the boat.

02 EXT. OPEN SEA — THE SURGE — NIGHT

Churning waves streaked with gold and deep blue

The daluyong does not arrive like weather. It arrives like a decision. Amihan lashes herself to the outrigger her father left her, and rows toward the part of the sea the maps leave blank.

03 INT. THE DROWNED PALACE — DEPTH UNKNOWN

Dolphins gliding through deep blue water shafts of light

Below the storm there is no storm. There is a hall with no roof, lit by things that agreed to glow. The Tide has been waiting nine generations for someone to come down and apologize in person.
